The Roots to Perform FREE SHOW at SummerStage with Special Guests, Presented by Capital One Bank

As the summer comes to a close, so too does the always incredible SummerStage series by NYC’s City Parks Foundation. But not so fast, not before The Roots get their chance to do it in the park like the mighty Blackbyrds.

On October 8th, The Legendary Crew will perform a FREE show exclusively for Capital One cardholders (no purchase necessary) and they’ll be bringing some very special guests along with them as Bilal & Marsha Ambrosius are also set to take the stage. DJ Talib Kweli will be providing the beats on the wheels of steel beforehand so be sure to get their early.

Complimentary tickets will be given out at the Capital One 360 Café at 3rd Avenue & 58th Street next Thursday, September 17th from 4pm to 7pm. All you have to do is show up and flash your Capital One Bank card, and boom, you’re there. This a free, but private show, so we’d suggest getting to Capital One 360 Café a little early to secure your pair of stubs while enjoying selections by DJ Herbert Holler.

Check out the show’s original artwork below, and be sure to visit for the most up-to-date scheduling and line-up.
