Terrace Martin's Jazz Group—The Pollyseeds—Share "Intentions" Ft. Problem

Our love for The Pollyseeds knows no shame, as Terrace Martin has made a consistent habit of creating new sounds and waves pegged to his Sounds Of Crenshaw label. After taking his players out as a collective on an international tour, The Pollyseeds link up to put out a new project appropriately titled, Sounds Of Crenshaw, Vol. 1.

For those not in the know, The Pollyseeds consist of our First Look Friday alum, Rose Gold, Grammy winners Robert Glasper + Kamasi Washington, bass player Brandon Eugene Owens, Marlon Williams and Trevor Lawrence Jr. and more. To commemorate this moment in music, the group has shared their first single, “Intentions,” which features Chachi, the Compton MC formerly known as Problem.

Together, these organic orchestrators of originality harmonize, glorify and testify to the power of intention. Oh, did I forget to mention that Robert “Sput” Searlight, Craig Brockton and Wyann Vaughn are also a part of this project? If that doesn’t make you want to immediately press play then I don’t know what to tell you, folk.

Listen to “Intentions” below + keep an eye out for a release date coming soon.
