The Obamas Vacation With Oprah, Springsteen & More On 454-Foot Yacht

The Obamas are currently living their best life. Barack Obama was recently seen on a 454-foot yacht with his wife Michelle, as well as celebrities Bruce Springsteen, Oprah Winfrey, and Tom Hanks.

According to reports from Travel + Leisure, the group was on a luxury yacht called the Rising Sun. Off the coast of Tahiti, they did an island-hopping tour of French Polynesia, which included stops at Vanilla Island and Le Taha’a Island. The trip will end at The Brando, the luxury resort Obama has been staying at while he completes his White House memoirs.

One particular picture from the trip that has surfaced seems to be taken by a bystander that is not on the yacht. The photo shows Obama taking a picture of Michelle.

Although initial reports had stated that Obama would receive $20 million for his next memoir, it turns out that he and Michelle have a joint deal with Penguin Random House, with the two books rumored to be worth $60 million.

Obama may soon have a highway named in his honor, too.

In Illinois, lawmakers are trying to get the I-55 highway from East St. Louis to Chicago, to be renamed the “Barack Obama Presidential Expressway.”

After being approved by The Regulation, Roads and Bridges Committee, the piece of legislation is now headed to the calendar order of resolutions.
