The Lonely Island & The Roots Perform "I'm On A Boat" w/ Toy Instruments On The Tonight Show

With The Lonely Island's very first cinematic treatment hitting the big screen in just a few weeks' time, the press runs and pop-ups are officially underway. First stop: The Tonight Show, where the musically-inclined comedic trio took it back to the classroom to rock with The Rootson a special toy instrument rendition of "I'm On A Boat."  With all of the kazoos, mini-tambourines, xylophones and wooden blocks you can bear, and Andy Samberg leading the charge, The Lonely Island's 2009 smash comes to life like never before, reminding the world that their cartoonish raps are still here and landing just as hard as they did at the onset of their careers. The Lonely Island movie, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping is in theaters on June 3rd, featuring cameos from our very own Questlove, as well as Maya Rudolph, Snoop Dogg, Usher, Seal, DJ Khaled and plenty more.

Watch as The Lonely Island, The Roots and Jimmy Fallon perform "I'm On A Boat" live and direct from the classroom down below and once you've had your fill, scroll down a little more and peep the full trailer for the new movie Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.
