Don’t you hate it when you’re caught up in a good show + they leave you hanging with that ole’ season cliffhanger? Well, if you’re anything like us, you’ve been waiting for an update about Netflix‘s The Get Down.

According to a press release, the second season, or better yet, part two of the music-driven, 1970s-set, whimsically hip-hop series will return from hiatus on April 7. Picking up a full 365 after the mid-season finale (#NoSpoilers) — Zeke (Justice Smith) and Mylene (Herizen Guardiola) are smack dab in the middle of hip-hop’s rise as a growing phenomenon and culture shift in New York City.

Without giving too much away, Netflix has also put together a tease for your viewing pleasure.

The Get Down also features the talents of Shameik Moore, Skylan Brooks, Tremaine Brown, Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen, Mamoudzou Athie, Jimmy Smits and Jaden Smith.

What do you think of the tease? Are you with The Get Down or ready to get up from the series altogether? Speak on it below!
