Grammy-nominated musician Chloe Bailey has been added to Miramax’s thriller The Georgetown Project. According to Deadline, Ryan Simpkins is also another new addition to the cast. The two actresses will star alongside Academy-Award winning actor, Russel Crowe.
Deadline reports that thought specific details about the film have not surfaced, Simpkins will play Lee Miller, the daughter of Anthony Miller (Crowe). Her character is “a troubled actor who begins to unravel while filming a supernatural horror movie.” Bailey is set to play Blake Holloway, an actress casted with Miller.
Both Chloe and Halle Bailey, the duo also known as Chloe x Halle are series regulars on the popular Freeform show Grown-ish alongside Yara Shahidi. The two play a pair of twins Sky and Jazz who are close friends with Shahidi’s character Zoey. Grown-ish is executive produced by Black-ish creator Kenya Harris.
The Georgetown Project is written and directed by Joshua John Miller and M.A. Fortin. The film’s production is currently happening in Wilmington, North Carolina.
