The Fugees Have Canceled Their Anniversary Tour For 'The Score'

The Fugees had previously released an update on the tour saying that it would begin some time early this year.

After delaying their 25th anniversary The Scoretour to some time early this year, The Fugees have announced that they have canceled the tour.

The group issued a statement that they are canceling the highly-anticipated tour because of COVID-19 concerns. The statement can be read in its entirety below.

"We anticipate and understand disappointment but our anniversary tour will not be able to happen. The continued Covid pandemic has made touring conditions difficult, and we want to make sure we keep our fans and ourselves healthy and safe. An idea sparked to honor and celebrate this 25th anniversary of The Score but we see now it may currently be our time for revisiting this past work. We're grateful for the special night we did get to share with some of you in New York, with that rare live moment. If opportunity, public safety, and scheduling allow, we hope to be able to revisit this again sometime soon. Thank you for all your love and support throughout the years."

Announced in September, the original tour was supposed to be 12 dates, taking the legendary group from New York City to Paris to Ghana. When they offered an update on the tour before the end of last year, they also said that the tour would be adding more cities and dates. Unfortunately, that no longer is the case, with the group only performing in New York City back on September 22 last year.
