At the the tail-end of last week, the world caught a glimpse of just what T.I., Dr. Dre and Marsha Ambrosius have been cooking up with the unveiling of a teaser for the new single “Dope.” Today, while the full clip has yet to surface, the single has emerged in all its laid-back turn-of-the-century r&b glory. The track flips Aaliyah‘s “Rock The Boat” to radiant results, providing a dated, yet highly enjoyable score to the warmer months of the year, if we ever even get there. The track arrives as the lead-off single to T.I.’s forthcoming Dime Trap project, which has yet to receive an official release date, but promises to arrive in the months ahead. You can catch the wave from T.I.’s new single down below via Spotify, but if you’re looking to take it home with you, head over to iTunes for the digital download. The video for the single will arrive later today, featuring cameos from Andre 3000, Killer Mike, Big Sean, DJ Drama, Nelly and more, so be sure to check back for the sights that match the sounds as we creep forward into the the day.
