Surprise, Surprise! Kendrick Lamar Drops 'These Walls' Video For The Masses

Maybe the game should start reading more into whenever someone from Top Dawg Entertainment mentions Kendrick Lamar. As you already know, Terrence “Punch” Henderson, president of the label spoke with Elliott Wilson and Brian “B. Dot” Miller of Rap Radar about K. Dot’s budding acting skills. Lo and behold, we are then surprisingly graced with an explicit dark comedy in the form of a music video for Kendrick’s standout track, “These Walls”.

Beginning with two prisoners recounting the story of how they fell into the pit with no escape, the duo blame Kendrick for their ills. From that point, the viewer is taken into a first person point of view as we are taken through a house of ill repute, which features some pretty intense moves. As Lamar continues to transmogrify To Pimp A Butterfly on-and-off stage, the 28-year-old lyricist is proving that his album has staying power even if it is not burning up Billboard.

“These Walls” is the fifth single released from Kendrick Lamar’s critically and universally acclaimed third album, To Pimp A Butterfly, and features Brainfeeder bassist Thundercat, Sonnymoon’s soulful Anna Wise and our own eccentric singer, Bilal. Don’t forget that the West Coast MC is coming to a city near you with his Kunta’s Groove Sessions Tour.
