Stretch & Bobbito Will Return This Summer With New NPR Podcast

It's entirely likely that you've grown up with the duo, but in case you're not part of our 35-49 demo and came of age somewhere outside of the greater NYC area, Stretch & Bobbito are an hip-hop institution unto themselves. Co-captains of the one of the first radio programs to exclusively cover underground hip-hop, the legendary duo was notorious for live studio sessions and freestyles, but also demos and rarities that could only be heard on their block of WKCR, where it wasn't uncommon to hear Nas (or Wu-Tang or Jay Z or Big L) broadcast live and direct from the booth

Now, after reuniting last summer to host a series of shows at Samsung's 837 space in NYCThe Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito GarciaShow will return to radio in perhaps the best possible way; their very own NPR podcast where they'll explore the worlds of music, art and pop culture as only Stretch and Kool Bob Love could. NPR's released a trailer for the new show, promising a summer premiere. Which should give you plenty of time to brush up on the history these two have witnessed a la 2015's Stretch & Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives documentary, available on iTunes, Vimeo and Netflix.
