Step Inside Bruce Lee's Abandoned Hong Kong Home

In 1974, a billionaire philanthropist purchased Bruce Lee's Hong Kong estate for $1,000,000 HKD, one year after the icon's tragic death in an apparent allergic reaction to a common painkiller ingredient. The new owner of the near 6,000 square-foot two-story property converted the home into a "love hotel" or the US equivalent of any seedy motel you've come across in your travels with more stains than amenities.

By 2008, the owner had readied the property for sale to raise money for earthquake victims, but public outrage and a subsequent campaign compelled the owner to convert Lee's former home into a museum, complete with theaters, exhibits and a kung fu school that would celebrate the legacy of the late superstar. 8 years later, the property remains abandoned; hardly the shrine fans had hoped for and barely even seen. Until today that is. An urhan explorer led a crew into the hollowed out remains of Bruce Lee's one-time home and its contents may shock you.

Step into the skeletal remains of Bruce Lee's Hong Kong home in the clip below and join us all in hoping that someone comes along and saves this place from imminent dilapidation.
