Statik Selektah Recruits Young M.A., Smif N Wessun + Buckshot For His New “Murder Game” Clip

What happens when you mix a tenaciousStatik Selektah beat with some of the most capable rappers on earth, and set it all before a grimy black and white urban backdrop showing us some of the far industrial corners of NYC? You get the new music video for “Murder Game,” which features Young M.A. more than holds her own amidst a boys club of Buckshot and Smif N Wessun. Statik Selektah himself only briefly appears at the video’s opening and very end, inviting us into this dark and tumultuous visual before letting his lyrical cohorts (literally) do the talking. Shots of the Manhattan skyline, Williamsburg Bridge and numerous unknown blocks give it all an eerie realm; but then again, this one is in fact entitled “Murder Game.”

Bi-coastal filmmaker Guy Blelloch directed the new clip, and “Murder Game” can be found on Selektah’s brand new Lucky 7 release, which hit the shelves just last week. Watch the new video from Statik Selektah and his crew below and pick yourself up a copy of the new LP, which features Action Bronson, Joey Bada$$, Talib Kweli and many more, on iTunes if you haven’t already done so
