OKP Premiere: Preview 'Spring In Jakarta' w/ New Singles From IAMNOBODI, Olivier St. Louis & Kami Awori

To start the day off right, we’re partnering with the good people at Jakarta Records for this set of premieres.

We bring you three new joints that are set to be featured on their upcoming Spring In Jakarta project. While all of their seasonal projects are worthy of your ears, this one has special significance, as it also serves as their 100th release (*salute*).

As always, the project will be a free download, with a limited t-shirt + cassette tape combo released in conjunction with Inflammable in the near future. Alright, now onto the music.

First up is OKP regular IAMNOBODI. The German producer has been staying busy putting the finishing touches on his debut solo album. IAMNOBODI comes through with this smooth mellowed out (until that bass drops) new song entitled “Arr. 6.” The track was actually meant to appear on his solo album, but found a home here instead.

Stay tuned for what did make the cut on that solo LP - listen to “Arr. 6” below.

Next up we have a Jakarta contribution from Olivier St. Louis (fka Olivier Daysoul).

If you think this guy is simply the vocalist who has been laying hooks and playing guitar for Oddisee over the years, you haven’t been paying attention. Olivier has been making some noise on his own for quite some time, and really impressed with his solo EP, Black Music, last year. Today, he makes his return with a remix of one of those EP tracks, “Ain’t Cool,” but this version gets the remix treatment from his homie Oddisee.

Oddisee adds an extra dose of funk to the super soulful track as well as a nice 16! Check it out underneath.

And for our final sample of Spring In Jakarta we check in with Parisian singer/producer duo Kami Awori.

The two are new to the Jakarta family, but make a strong first impression with “Window To Her Soul.” A soothing blend of soul and electronic music, this one definitely has us looking forward to more. The duo are currently working on a new EP, so we hopefully won’t be waiting long for some more music.

For now, check out “Window To Her Soul.”
