A viral video hilariously captured the moment when Fox went from Sarah Palin's bizarre performance to Trump's underwhelming address on the virus.

Depending on what channel you had on while awaiting Donald Trump's Coronavirus address, some of you might have witnessed a very bizarre performance of Sarah Palin rapping Sir Mix-a-Lot's "Baby Got Back" beforehand.

On Wednesday night, Fox's The Masked Singer show ended with Palin, former governor of Alaska, performing "Baby Got Back." She performed it twice: the first time still disguised under a bear helmet (the judges guesses ranged from Christina Applegate to Tina Fey, who has impersonated the governor on Saturday Night Live), and the second time without the helmet and accompanied by Nick Cannon as her hypeman.

It's a very strange and surreal moment that lasts almost two minutes, but what makes it even weirder is the fact that Trump's address came right the performance was done, as captured in this viral video.

The clip goes from the applause of The Masked Singer audience to Fox News Chief Political Anchor Bret Baier introducing Trump's address on the Coronavirus. It's just as morbidly hilarious as it is poignant, and will likely be something we all look back on as one of the strangest days of 2020.

Trump didn't really offer much reassurance on the virus during the address, but he did unveil his plan to keep it at bay — a 30-day ban on travel to the US by Europeans and restrictions on cargo, which was met with so much confusion that he had to take to Twitter to clarify what he meant.

At least Palin had fun performing "Baby Got Back" though.
