In 1967, The Beatles released what is widely-considered to be their most innovative and influential album, Sgt. Peppers & The Lonely Hearts Club BandThe premise: make an album that simply couldn't be performed in a live setting, alchemizing a sonic journey with old show tunes, samples (perhaps the first to ever do it) and psychedelia through the lens of some of the era's most prolific songwriters.

But if you're familiar with just how and why the album came to be, what is often cited as "Beatlesmania" is the culprit, with decibel levels reaching unfathomable peaks each and every time they hit the stage, leaving them incapable of hearing themselves, but more importantly, preventing them from gauging their growth as musicians. And so, it is their time before and up to the craze that is the subject of Ron Howard's forthcoming documentary treatment, Eight Days A Week: The Touring Years, which compiles rare and never-before-seen interviews and concert footage into a career-charting exhibition of a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon.

The documentary is slated for a September 17th release via Hulu and select theaters across the country; a must-see for your Fab Four aficionados and novices alike. Watch the trailer below.
