Ric Wilson is the latest do-it-all-to-death vocalist to make way from the Windy City. The self-described 19-year-old "rapper/fake singer/percussionist/human" put his name on the map with the Penny Raps mixtape, which featured Wilson's half-rap/half-croon stylings over an air-tight selection of sound scapes from RC Wellz, Tom Misch and The Social Experiment's Nate Fox. But with a new project en route and even more weight to his name, Wilson's blessed us with the premiere of a lighthearted, homebody clip for his latest single "You Need Me." The video finds Wilson delivering the track's mantra while making a plea to a lover, all while Louie Lastic's driving drum track and mounting synths roll over like a warm, welcoming wave. But don't take it from us, watch the playful new video for "You Need Me" and hold tight for his upcoming project, The Sun Was Out in the weeks ahead. Oh, and one time for the Chicago vocalist and emcee, delivering what has to be the slickest, most infectious joints we've heard in a minute. Seriously, good luck shaking this thing off.
