Raekwonkeeps the vintage heat coming with a take of The Spinners' iconic cut "Could It Be I'm Falling Love" for the latest edition of his Throwback Thursday series. As the lush opening string treatments commence, The Chef jumps right on and delivers some grown-ass-man raps for the initial 45 seconds, waxing about some dime pieces, then just lets the sweetness of the Mystro & Lyric-penned composition rock til your weak in the knees. The series has already seen Rae take his verbal to classic' from The Isley Brothers,Teena Marie and Rose Royce, but I've got a feeling we haven't seen the last of these ill one-offs. Hoping we get an "Inner City Blues" or "Funky Space Reincarnation" flip soon, as we could all use a little more marvelous Marvin in our lives.
