Twitter's top trending topic in the world right now is Rachel Madow. It's because a couple of hours ago, Rachel Maddow tweeted that she had a portion of Donald Trump's tax returns from 2005. Maddow got the document from journalist David Cay Johnston, who got the forms in the mail from an anonymous source.

The document that Maddow has shows that Trump earned more than $150 million in 2005. Of that amount, Trump and his wife Melania Trump paid $5.3 million in federal income tax and $31 million in alternative minimum tax, an effective tax rate of 25 percent.

After news came out that Maddow was going to leak his tax returns, the White House jumped the gun and released the tax info first. They also took shots at Maddow and the "crooked media," saying "You know you are desperate for ratings when you are willing to violate the law to push a story about two pages of tax returns from over a decade ago.”

All we have to say is: keep it up "crooked media."
