Questlove Takes On Autocorrect, Golden Era Hip-Hop and More For 'Over/Under'

Questlove may have somewhere between 12 and 50 jobs at the moment, but it hasn't stopped him from taking some post-Turkey Day time to weigh-in on some of his favorite topics of discussion. Namely, "golden era" hip-hop, autocorrect, Ding Dongs and, wait for it, horseback riding.

Sitting (standing, actually) with Pitchfork for a new episode of Over/Under, Questo admits defeat in the realm of cell phone censorship, not even taking the time correct his phone's "ducking" automations. He also dodges a hard score on whether '90s hip-hop is over or underrated, claiming "that no period of hip-hop really contextualized and kept alive the music of the past that came before it," championing the producers (Q-Tip, Pete Rock, DJ Premier and the like) that "made miracles" out of the boring section of your parents' record collection.

And if you were dying to know what Questlove thinks of the cream-filled pentagons, just know that his allegiance to the city of Philadelphia prohibits him from commenting ("we are a Tastykake town.")  Watch as Questo takes on Over/Under in the clip below and be sure to keep an eye on his Instagram for more updates on a new album from The Roots.
