The hardest working man in show business today, heh, is none other that Ahmir “Questlove” ThompsonThe Roots co-founder and international man of awesomeness continues to defy the laws of time and space by fitting in more things to do than an overworked call girl with a plastic foot.

His recent book, something to food about: Exploring Creativity with America’s most Innovative Chefs, a book written in collaboration with Ben Greenman, was just nominated for the James Beard Foundation Book Award for Nonfiction. Of course, the multiple time Grammy Award winner was psyched about the news and took to his Instagram page to share his reaction with his almost 1M followers.

Established in 1990, the James Beard Awards were created to honor those who excel in cuisine, culinary writing and culinary education. If you haven’t seen Questo’s true story about dealing with Patti Labelle and food, well, you certainly haven’t lived yet and should watch it to understand just how deep his foodie roots go.

In something to food about, Quest journeys into the kitchens of 10 highly respected chefs and explores “what makes their creativity tick,” according to the publisher’s description of the book. Want to learn more about something to food about, don’t worry, we got you covered. Our illustrious founder also had some good news to share, as he revealed that he is also working on his fourth book. If Greenman and Quest win, they will certainly have to have the dopest dinner party to celebrate.

Until we find out who wins on May 1, get your boogie on and congratulate Questlove for his recent success + excitement by sharing your thoughts with him on Twitter @Questlove.
