Social media and Prince have kind of a complicated relationship. First he’s on, then he goes out for a pack of cigarettes and disappears into the night. Until one day, like last Thursday night, when he decides it’s time to reenter your life in a big way and be the purple internet-crushing patriarch you need him to be. After a good stretch of shunning off most forms of social media (with the exception of the 3rdEyeGirl‘s Twitter page) The Kid has made a triumphant return to Prince-stagram Instagram with an official account and all of the self-meme-ing your paisley hearts can bear.
What should be taken from this is like, dare I say, Drake, as The Purple One has taken on the nuance of this digital age, the meme-a-minute millennial modus operandi, and appears to be ready to conquer. There you’ll not only find some of his more cherished pictures and word squares, but also rare stills of Prince in action, all uploaded in so by all means.
