Brooklyn's own Phony Ppl come roaring back into the world with their lush new joint "Why iii Love The Moon" off the soon-to-drop Yesterday's Tomorrow LP. Serving as an ode to ole luna and unreciprocated affection, the fellas deliver a tender and truly stunning sonicbed built from raw Rhodes, layers of warm croons and drums that embody the tight claps and perfect swing of the one and only J Dilla. It's the first we've heard from the crew since they hit us with the cool-out groove of the summer in "Take A Chance," but it appears there's a whole lot more to look forward in the coming weeks. Yesterday's Tomorrow hits next Tuesday January 13th, so stay tuned for all the links, supporting sounds and sights.
