A woman was found dead at Firefly Festival in Dover, Delaware, over the weekend according to NBC Local news affiliate WDEL-FM.
The 20-year-old, who has been identified as Caroline Friedman, was reportedly found unresponsive at the festival’s campgrounds early Sunday morning. She was then transferred to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Authorities reportedly do not suspect foul play, but a cause of death has not been announced.
The concertgoer was attending the four-day Firefly Music Festival, an annual gathering held at Dover International Speedway. This year’s lineup included acts like Kendrick Lamar and Eminem.
Firefly Festival issued a statement, saying, “We express our deepest condolences and sympathy to the family and friends of Ms. Friedman. We are fully cooperating with the Dover Police Department with their investigation of this morning’s event.”
Earlier this month, another festival death was reported at Bonnarroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee. Thirty-two-year old Michael Donivan Craddock Jr., of Mt. Juliet, was found dead in the camping area on Friday morning, June 8. The cause of death is reportedly still under investigation
