For an aspiring musician, there may not be a more coveted set of ears to captivate than that of Pharrell Williams and era-defining engineer, Bob Power. Together their credits read like a crash-course in hip-hop's who's who, but it is a rare, if not mythical, thing to see either of them in one place, at one time. But I suppose that's where NYU's Masterclass comes in; a rigorous music biz curriculum helmed by some of the most influential sonic architects of our time, with lessons from Questlove, Om'mas Keith and now, Bob Power, populating their programming.

Currently, Power is shaping the malleable minds of music's next-gen and with Skateboard P in the hot seat, the duo sat with a few of the more promising artists enrolled to share mixing notes and studio stories.
