A while back we got some word on a new film called Moonlight, that the film was being produced by Brad Pitt‘s production company Plan B Entertainment, and that Janelle Monaé was making her big screen debut in the movie. Today the trailer was released. Scroll down to watch it below. Moonlight, a film told in three parts, is a coming of age story that begins in the 1980s during President Ronald Reagan‘s catastrophic drug war as a boy named Chiron, played by Trevante Rhodes, becomes a man and comes to grips with sexuality, masculinity, and love. The film, produced by Plan B and A24, is directed by Barry Jenkins. Moonlight, the movie, was adapted from a play by dramatist Tarell McCraney entitled In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue. Other cast members include Naomie Harris from the James Bond Film Spectre, Mahershala Ali from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and André Holland from The Knick.
