Pass The Popcorn: L.T. Hutton Updates World On 'All Eyez On Me' Status
The much-maligned biopic about the life and untimely death of Tupac Amaru Shakur has seen a revolving door of directors, a battle over music rights and a tit-for-tat between Hollywood and hip-hop. Yet, none of this has derailed the project from its goal of completion.
In a status update of sorts, L.T. Hutton, a former in-house producer for Death Row Records, shares the latest and greatest about All Eyez On Me, which has begun filming in Atlanta, Georgia. The beatsmith who has had placements on movies such as A Thin Line Between Love and Hate and Juwanna Mann shared some Instagram posts, detailing a few behind-the-scenes looks at the forthcoming biopic.
Above you can see L.T. revealing a prison scene, possibly when Tupac served time in the Clinton Correctional Facility, as well as a shot with new director Benny Boom. “It’s been a long journey, blood, sweat and tears [and] all the lies!” he writes in a caption for an image posted Wednesday (December 16). “All the bullshit [and] hard work has paid off!! We start shooting in a few hours!! History will be made. All love to the real.” With the movie coming soon, anticipation continues to grow for a project that has had its fair share of issues.
Benny Boom will direct All Eyez On Me after Carl Franklin and John Singleton both withdrew from the project. There’s still no release date in mind for the project, yet we will keep you posted as more about this biopic develops.
