Pass The Popcorn : 'Finding Fela' Gets US Theatrical Run

Finding Fela — Alex Gibney‘s exceptional chronicle of the life and legend of foundational Afrobeat icon Fela Kuti — is finally making its way to a screen near you. After smashing at this year’s Sundance Festival, it was announced earlier this week that Kino Lorber has acquired the North American rights to the Okayplayer/Okayafrica co-produced documentary (in cahoots with Knitting Factory Entertainment and Jigsaw Productions) sending the film on a well-deserved victory lap across the country. You can peep OKA ‘s behind-the-scenes footage of Finding Fela as well as the dates and venues for the screenings below. Fela enthusiasts come correct, this one’s simply not to be missed. Stay tuned, as Lorber intends to extend the run to 75 different markets. More dates to be announced soon.
