Stankonia is having a moment right now, and far be it from us to let it pass on by. The brilliant Outkast LP turned 15 years old earlier this week, and while Okayplayer has don its part by interviewing both Killer Mike and the original Ms. Jackson, gathering behind-the-scenes and after-the-fact insights on one of the most important releases of the 21st century. Now, a new documentary dedicated to Stankonia has been released, and it's the perfect way to spend your pre-going-out Halloween hours. Grab that mask and press play.

"OutKast's 'Stankonia' Album: 15 Years Later" was produced by MTV News and opens with a bit of vintage footage of both Big Boi and Andre 3000, before a corps of current hip-hop stars profess their appreciation and awe at their 2000 release. We see Wale, Father, DJ Khaled and Cee Lo Green and speak in adoring tones about Stankonia, before things get a bit more historical. Was it Outkast's having their own studio that made the record so dope? Or the ceaseless energy of those drum tracks? Decide for yourself (and get an immersive look at record you always thought you knew everything about) by listening in below. And if you're out shopping during Record Store Day 2015, keep an eye out for that special vinyl reissue..
