New business from Paris-based track-star Onra, who we've not heard much from since his Chuck Inglish collabo "Hold Tight." This new joint "Second Chance" has the open, next-plateau melodic progression of 80s cold funk from the Paradise Garage era, backed by thumping offbeat post-Dilla drums. It's a combination that works supremely well with palette of chimes and soulful vocal chops Onra is painting with on this canvas--kind of begging for a Talib Kweli or maybe an Action Bronson rap to lay a final coat of rap-varnish on top.
