OKP Premiere: SassyBlack Looks For Love In "New Boo" Short Film
Catherine “Cat” Harris-White‘s insights and powerful personality have made her a standout addition to any track. With No More Weak Dates out in the world, SassyBlack projects herself onto the masses in a new short film for the standout single, “New Boo”. As a potential suitor, SassyBlack reluctantly attends a friend’s soirée while in the midst of taking a break from the dating scene. Without giving too much away, “New Boo” paints the picture of many awkward situations which involves a look-a-like and even a possible love interest.
Directed by Dave Wilson (Frank Ocean, Toki Wright), “New Boo” the short film, is, according to SassyBlack, “a multifaceted dating experience in one sitting.” With the former singing half of THEESatisfaction possibly getting caught up in another relationship, she wanted to frame the short film in a way that “depict many dating interactions” that lead up to a “happy / sad ending.” Fueled by a great beat, harmonious lyrics and a light and satirical style, “New Boo,” reflects the real world interaction that Cat has had with folks IRL. Watch and enjoy as MamaGhana plays the relationship game with mixed and varied results.
Be sure to get your tickets as SassyBlack will be coming to a venue near you soon this summer!
