OKP Premiere: Fat Beats Releases Dibia$e's "One4Jax" For "Baker's Dozen" Debut

Baker's Dozen x Dibiase x One4Jax Release

Every day, virtually every second of each moment we spend working here at Okayplayer is dedicated to fielding, listening to and critiquing song submissions. Out of the many expertly crafted cuts we get on the daily, we hold Fat Beats dearly in our collective hearts. The legendary record store and company reached out to us to exclusively premiere word about a new vinyl series that is right up true music lover’s alley.

Dubbed “Baker’s Dozen,” Fat Beats Records is keeping honest-to-God good music alive with this installment of funky riffs and smoothed out hi-hats. According to the company, “Baker’s Dozen” is an attempt to “shine a light on the best minds of instrumental hip-hop, ambient and electronic music.” As each artist gives their best effort to showcase their signature sound, Fat Beats gives them the full access to capture and release what’s on the melodious heart.

We’re happy to offer the debut cut from this series in the form of Dibia$e‘s “One4Jax”. The Los Angeles born, Sacramento based beat maker laces the instrumental with some serious head knock. This truly sweet sounding jawn is worth playing on repeat as you go through your work day. For each volume (“One4Jax” is part of Volume One), the 500-unit, strictly limited vinyl pressing features one artist compiling 12 tracks. Only 250 units will contain the ultra-rare thirteenth track on a flexi disc.

The LPs also come fully stacked with a 5×7″ postcard insert that features a photo of the artist’s workspace along with the equipment used in the music-making process. A creatively cohesive and expertly packaged deal with a focus on attention to detail, “Baker’s Dozen” is worth it to anyone who loves innovative artists.

Without further ado, we introduce you to the sounds of Dibia$e and his instrumental cut, “One4Jax”. Be sure to stack your coins when this becomes available on March 11.
