NYC--Get Ready For Okayafrica's Electrafrique Party At Output, ft. Buraka Som Sistema's Branko!

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Okayafrica's semi-regular DJ night Electrafrique returns to New York City with one of its strongest lineups ever. On Wednesday, March 4th the OKA set will take over Brooklyn's Output club, giving Branko (who you may well know from his deft productions for Buraka Som Sistema) the chance to stretch out and bring his relentless African-inspired dance sounds to the Big Apple. Come prepared to sweat early and often as NYC producer Kashaka and Okayafrica/Electrafrique regulars <a href="https://twitter.com/djcortega" target="_blank">Cortega and DJ Underdog spin early sets. Entry is free before 11 with an RSVP.

Branko's sound is a blend of African timbres and familiar steadybeat house, prone to lush extended intros and corkscrew synthesizer lines. The producer just dropped "Zhoukoudian" a hauntingly beautiful cut with London/St. Lucia producer Poté as a part of the forth coming We Call It Zouk Bass collection, and East Cast-dwellers with even a passing taste for dancefloor rhythms owes it to themselves to catch his Electrafrique set.

Be sure to listen to a special warm-up mix from Branko, made especially for Okayafrica, below. Read a little more on Electrafrique, Branko and all the best futuristic African sounds over at Okayafrica.
