She also shares details on her marriage plans, who she'd like to collaborate with and more.

Nicki Minaj recently took to social media to announce that she'd be retiring from music. Now she has decided to clear the air around this topic and her ongoing marriage plans in a new interview with The Shade Room.

Before getting into details about an alleged new album, she spoke about her upcoming marriage:

"We’ll definitely do the paperwork portion of the marriage, but the actual wedding, I don’t know. You know when you’re a little girl and you want this big beautiful wedding, and I used to think I was one of those girls, I always wanted the fairytale. But then the things that used to matter to you don’t matter as much because I remember wanting those things with people, where real love wasn’t there."

On a possible fifth album:

"So, it was really about the fifth album. Where do I stand with it, I didn’t know my fans were going to act like that with the tweet, and it hurt my feelings. I felt like the way I did it was like insensitive to my fans, I didn’t know it was going to be that big of a deal. So that’s why I deleted it because it had like 600,000 likes and it was up for like less than an hour, and it took on a life of its own."

Throughout the interview, she didn't expand on the possibility of a future project. But she did share specific artists who she'd like to work with including DaBaby and Gunna. Minaj also later spoke about Kanye West trying to turn one of their unreleased collaborations into a gospel song. At the moment, she notes that she wrote three different verses but they aren't seeing "eye to eye."
