ViacomCBS Reconciles With Nick Cannon To Return To 'Wild N Out'

Nick Cannon and ViacomCBS are resuming production on the upcoming season of Wild ‘N Out.

Coming days after FOX and Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury shared that a Nick Cannon daytime talk show was back in the works after being postponed over anti-semitic remarks he made, news has now been shared that the entertainer and ViacomsCBS have reconciled.

In a report from Deadline, the two have mended their relationship and are resuming production on the upcoming season of Wild 'N Out. Per Deadline:

ViacomCBS says that Cannon has apologized, taken responsibility for his comments, partnered with Jewish leaders to educate himself and has become an anti-hate advocate.

ViacomCBS ended its relationship with Cannon after he was criticized for making anti-semitic remarks on his Cannon’s Class podcast series in July last year. Following his firing from ViacomCBS, Cannon released a statement demanding ownership of Wild 'N Out, saying at the time: "I demand full ownership of my billion dollar Wild ‘N Out brand that I created, and they will continue to misuse and destroy without my leadership! I demand that the hate and back door bullying cease and while we are at it, now that the truth is out, I demand the Apology!"

Following the controversy he faced, Cannon apologized for his remarks and spent last year meeting with prominent rabbis and other Jewish leaders.

“While the Jewish experience encompasses more than 5,000 years and there is so much I have yet to learn, I have had at least a minor history lesson over the past few days and to say that it is eye-opening would be a vast understatement,” he said at the time. “I want to express my gratitude to the Rabbis, community leaders and institutions who reached out to me to help enlighten me, instead of chastising me.”
