Nappy Roots Strike Back w/ "Concrete Pavement"

I know, I know. It’s been a minute since any of you heard the words Nappy Roots in reference to something that isn’t related to their platinum-selling debut, Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz. And rightfully so, there’s been little movement from the Kentucky-bred crew since “Awnaw” and “Po’ Folks” climbed up and then climbed off the charts back in 2002.

Today, however, they may just make you thankful for your double-take, releasing the surprisingly-gritty new cut “Concrete Pavement” featuring bars from Skinny Deville, Fishscales, & Buffalo Stille, as well as a southern-fried frequency from producer SMKAPeep the new styles from Nappy Roots below and keep you head on a swivel for some new joints in the very near future. You can also catch them in-the-flesh throughout this month as they tour the west coast, the dates for which are listed just under the player.

Tour Dates:
Jan 04 @ Fly Me To The Moon Saloon – Telluride, CO
Jan 08 @ Belly Up – Aspen, CO
Jan 09 @ Agave – Avon, CO
Jan 10 @ Schmiggity’s – Steamboat Springs, CO
Jan 12 @ Cisero’s Bar – Park City, UT
Jan 15 @ SOL Venue – Carson, CA
Jan 16 @ FireHouse Bar & Grill – Saint George, UT
