Compton's In The House: N.W.A. Is Headed To The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

Earlier this year, the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame called upon you, the avid music lover, to submit your ballots for the 2016 class of inductees. The task was a hefty one, with the likes of The JBs, Janet Jackson, Chic, Chaka Khan, NWA, Chicago, Steve Miller, and  and  and plenty of others duking it out in the collective conscience for a spot on the HOF ballot. And now that the count is in, we can rejoice in the fact that the most rock & roll hip-hop group that ever was made the cut.  NWA beat out every single funk and r&b act on the list for their spot, joining Chicago, Deep Purple, Steve Miller, Cheap Trick on this year's ballot, and obviously out thrashing them all. We've yet to receive word on precisely when we'll see the ceremony or who will deliver the honors to the furious five-piece of Compton emcees, but this is one helluva victory lap for the pioneers, whose biopic treatment, while snubbed at the Golden Globes, has become the single highest grossing music biopic off all-time. So put one up for your boys, still showing the world just what rock & roll is.
