Legendary West Coast MC and Guinness World Book record holder, Murs, returns to the rap world with a vengeance on Captain California.

The 13-track effort that is being led by the single, “God Bless Kanye West,” serves as a follow-up to 2015’s Have a Nice Life, which was Murs’ Strange Music debut record.

Tackling everything from mental health within the black community to competing for a girl’s attention, Captain California is here to add more awareness to a growing epidemic that is going on in our minds and hearts. “We pray for each other and I believe in the power of prayer, but we could really use more mental health professionals in our community instead of mocking Kanye West,” Murs said in a press release.

“He’s having problems and he’s having to work through it. He’s like a football player playing hurt, to me.”
