'Moonlight' Will Exclusively Stream On Amazon Prime On May 21
Barry Jenkins‘ Moonlight is a cinematic classic and an award winning effort by the production company, A24. With success comes opportunity, and the duo has partnered up with Amazon Prime Video to announce that the “Best Picture” film will be available for exclusive streaming.
While Moonlight is one of the bigger sells, all upcoming A24 films will be available for premium viewing. The film is currently available to be watched on Amazon Video, but starting May 21, Prime members will be able to stream-and-download at no additional cost to their membership.
Other A24 titles in the agreement include Daniel Radcliffe‘s Swiss Army Man, Colin Farrell‘s The Lobster and Patrick Stewart‘s Green Room, which are already available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. “We are thrilled to be the exclusive subscription streaming service to offer customers Academy Award winner, Moonlight,” stated Jason Ropell, VP, Worldwide Head of Motion Pictures for Amazon Studios.
“We already have an incredible catalog of films from A24 like Room and Ex Machina that Prime members love to watch and we are happy to extend our relationship to continue to bring Prime members these award winning, prestige films.”
Prime Video is available only through the Amazon Video app for televisions, connected devices, mobile devices, or online at Amazon.com/PrimeVideo. Members can enjoy unlimited streaming, download titles to mobile devices at no additional charge and premium clarity on their screens.
