The Soul Preacher pays tribute to THE Funky Drummer, Clyde Stubblefield, with a 27-minute tribute mix that truly only the scratches the surface with respect to the man’s impact on music.
2017-02-18: Clyde Stubblefield dies at 73. He was best known for James Brown’s 1970 single “Funky Drummer”, possibly the most sampled drum beat in music history. As a member of the original J.B.’s Mr. Stubblefield can be considered being one of Funk’s originators. This short mix doesn’t really reflect his huge impact on Funk music, but I had do at least a little something. Peace & Love to his family!
