Miguel Takes Over 'Jimmy Kimmel' & 'Good Morning America' w/ Two Brilliant Performances
Today's the day for Miguel. The prince of R&B sultriness is celebrating the release of his new Wildheart LP, and to help commemorate the occasion he's sticking to an extremely busy live schedule. Miguel took his runaway hit "Coffee" to Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday night, performing it both live on stage with the backing of a full band and in a coffee shop (of course), a cappella-style to the shock of a few unsuspecting fans. Whether or not they were familiar with "Coffee" is a little uncertain from the clip, but when your barista has vocal chops like Miguel's, it's still a morning-making encounter to be sure.
Miguel also performed "Coffee" (and, we assume, drank quite a bit of it) early Tuesday on ABC's Good Morning America, showing that he can handle a cross-country red-eye flight without missing a beat. The crooner will play NYC's Le Poisson Rouge tonight for a special concert that will be webcasted live courtesy of NPR. Watch both the late night and early morning renditions of "Coffee" below and get ready for the long hot Summer of Wildheart.
