Miguel is slated to contribute a track to the forthcoming Goodbye Yellow Brick Road tribute LP celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Elton John release. Miguel is joined on the release by Hunter Hayes - who plays all instruments on his cover of the title track - and John Grant. Elton John plugged the project produced by Peter Asher during a concert at USC where he performed with students in support of The Diving Board LP; the project arriving late this month is his 31st studio release. Elton John aims to keep things fresh as he moves forward musically, discovering new artists and sounds. He recently discussed his appreciation for young musicians during an interview with Scott Goldman of the Grammy Foundation:

"The energy of youth is a wonderful thing to observe. I have great faith in the young. ... If you are 66 and want to make a difference I have to push barriers. I'm not coasting; coasting is dangerous."

There has been no release date announced for the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road tribute LP. The Diving Board LP arrives on September 24th.
