Megan Thee Stallion took the stand and told her side of the story during the second day of the Tory Lanez trial.

On the second day of the Tory Lanezshooting trial, rapper Megan Thee Stalliontook the stand. According to the Los Angeles Times, Megan, who claims that Tory Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson) shot her, was immediately emotional as she started her testimony.

“I just don’t feel good... I can’t believe I have to come in here and do this,” the "Savage"-rapper, whose real name is Megan Pete, told County Deputy Dist. Atty. Kathy Ta. During the first part of the testimony, which was about 45 minutes, she testified that she was leaving a Kylie Jenner party with Lanez, his bodyguard, and her ex-friend Kelsey Harris when an argument popped off inside their SUV. Pete testified that Peterson told Nicole about a sexual relationship he was having with Meg. Pete also testified that Harris learned of this information at the moment. (Meg also said Harris had a "crush" on Tory.) 

After an argument allegedly broke out, Meg says she left the car and that's when Tory allegedly fired five shots at her, yelling “dance, bitch!” and wounding her feet.

“I’m in shock. I’m scared. I hear the gun going off, and I can’t believe he’s shooting at me,” Pete said, before also saying that Peterson tried to bribe them both with $1 million if they didn't tell police.

When the police stopped them, Meg testified that she did not feel comfortable telling police what happened. 

“At the time, we are at the height of police brutality ... I felt like if I said this man has just shot me, they might shoot first and ask questions later...  don’t feel safe in the car. I don’t feel safe with the police officers either.”

Beyond concerns for Peterson's safety when police arrived at the scene, Pete implied that the incident negatively impacted her music career.

"This situation has only been worse for me and it has only made him more famous," Pete said during morning testimony. "Because I was shot, I've been turned into some kind of villain, and he's the victim. This has messed up my whole life ... This whole situation in the industry is like a big boy's club ... I'm telling on one of y'all friends, now you're all about to hate me."

Pete, 27, also testified that the shooting and its aftermath have impacted her mental health and relationship with artist and songwriter, Pardison Fontaine, to the point of contemplating suicide.

"I can't even be happy," she said during her emotional afternoon testimony. "I can't hold conversations with people for a long time. I don't feel like I want to be on this earth. I wish he would have just shot and killed me, if I knew I would have to go through this torture."

The artist also testified that although her and Peterson had an intimate relationship, the pair weren't exclusive. When asked why she previously didn't reveal the nature of their relationship, Pete responded, "because it's disgusting at this point. How could I share my body with someone who could do this to me?"

During day one of the trial, prosecutors said that there was gunpowder on both Peterson and Harris. They also said that Peterson left a voicemail on Harris' phone apologizing for what he did. (He was not specific about what he was apologizing for.)

Here's what we know for sure: Pete, Peterson, Harris and Peterson's bodyguard went to a party in the Hollywood Hills hosted by Jenner. They all left together. Around 4:30 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department received reports of gunshots from outside a home in the Hills. Police arrived on the scene and arrested Peterson on a felony count of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, while Meg was bleeding from her feet. Peterson faces three felony charges; assault with a semi-automatic firearm, possession of a concealed, unregistered firearm, negligent discharge of a firearm. If convicted, the artist faces up to 22 years in prison and/or deportation back to Canada.

It is not yet known if Peterson will take the stand.
