If you’ve been anywhere near our page over the last few months, you know damn-well that Mayer Hawthorne‘s been cooking with heat on his new album, Man About Town. He’s let us feel the fire with three boogie-blazed singles, and last week, he dropped off the full treatment. And though the album certainly has the most prominent live component we’ve heard from Hawthorne since his Motown-leaning debut, the world will have to wait until early May for him to take the stage nearby.
Last night, Hawthorne performed the album cuts “A Love Like That” and “Fancy Clothes” on Jimmy Kimmel Live, giving us a taste of just what to expect once he and the revue hit the road. You can watch Mayer Hawthorne bring the boogie to Jimmy Kimmel Live below. Scroll down to see his full slate of forthcoming tour dates. His new album Man About Town is available now on iTunes.
