Martin Luther King Jr.'s historic march on Selma, Alabama is finally getting a cinematic treatment, as David Oyelowo will star as the civil rights hero and spiritual leader in the forthcoming biopic Selma. Focusing strictly on his time in Alabama and the monumental shift that began there and culminated with the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1965, it seems poised to give us a proper cinematic take on one of (if not the single) most important movement in American history. The film (which has been a long time coming) stars OKP mainstay Common, Cuba Gooding Jr., Tim Roth, Tessa Thompson and more, promising to deliver the first major take on the human rights icon's life to ever play out on the silver screen.
