Luke Cage Breaks Bones, Catches Bullets In New Trailer

September 30 aka Luke Cageday is almost here, and Netflix continues to offer us new teasers in anticipation of the forthcoming Marvel series.

The latest one finds a group of men harassing someone, with Cage stepping in to provide his own vigilante justice.

"You're being disrespectful. It's unnecessary," Cage tells the leader of the group, to which he responds by telling one of his men to attack Cage.

As you can expect the situation ends horribly for the guy, completely unaware that Cage is, well, impenetrable. He punches Cage's face only to have the bones in his hands crack, and then gets thrown out of a window with the utmost ease. Then, another guy attempts to shoot the superhero but the latter wraps his hands around the barrel of the gun and catches the bullet. At the end of it all only one guy is left standing, with Cage asking him "You want some?" before the trailer comes to an end (hopefully the guy said no, but we'll just have to wait and see).

Up until this point all we've really seen are criminals try and shoot Cage to pieces. This shot works so well because it offers a close up shot on Cage's indestructible body, his face unaffected by this guy's punch.

All 17 episodes of Luke Cage will be dropping on September 30. The show features Mike Colter as the titular character, going up against Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes (Mahershala Ali), the owner of a Harlem nightclub who deals in illegal operations. The cast also includes Brian "Sene" Marc (who we spoke to recently about his role in the TV show and recently released movie White Girl) as Wilfredo Diaz.

The series is scored by Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge (so if you've watched each and every trailer related to Luke Cage, especially this one, then you've already heard some of their contributions).
