Lil C-Note is known for his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

A 12-year-old Atlanta rapper was arrested and faces multiple charges including disorderly conduct, for selling CDs in a mall.

Corey Jackson, more commonly known as rapper Lil C-Note who appeared onThe Ellen DeGeneres Show last year), was grabbed at Cumberland Mall by a police officer for selling his music inside the mall. In a video captured by the preteen's aunt, the officer can be seen holding Jackson's arm while telling him: "You're 12? Stop. You're going to go to a youth detention center if you don't stop."

"He's not doing anything," Jackson's aunt said in the clip. "He got his rights, he ain't even doing anything right now."

The aunt also tells the officer that she has Jackson's father on the phone but he declines to speak with him.

Cobb County Police Chief Mike Register has defended the officer and said that Jackson has now sold his music in the mall three times. According to a report from the New York Post, Jackson had previously received a criminal trespass warning for selling CDs in the mall.

"What that meant is if they caught the young man back on the premises of Cumberland Mall selling CDs, then they would request that the police make a criminal trespass case [against] the young man," Register said. "The officer was simply trying to get information and make a determination if a crime was occurring."

"The officer — all he was doing was holding the young man by the arm," Register added. "I believe from the preliminary investigation that the officer was in his legal rights to detain the juvenile."

Jackson is now facing multiple charges including felony obstruction, misdemeanor criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct. His aunt has been charged with felony obstruction, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and giving a false name and date of birth to police.

The department has launched an investigation but the officer involved hasn't placed on leave.

The video of the altercation has since gone viral with numerous people criticizing the officer for his handling of the situation.

Atlanta residents are also protesting at the mall with those present chanting "Justice for Corey J."
