The new series will be titled Surviving R. Kelly: The Aftermath.

A follow-up series to Surviving R. Kelly is currently in production.

According to a report in Variety the four-part season will be titled Surviving R. Kelly: The Aftermath, and will include interviews with new survivors, psychologists, and experts on the Kelly case.

The explosive original six-part series debuted on Lifetime in January and examined different stories and allegations that Kelly sexually abused and psychologically manipulated multiple women and girls.

After the program aired, the public response prompted new investigations of Kelly. He was arrested in Chicago on 10 criminal sexual abuse charges in February, and 11 more counts in May. Kelly has also been charged with 13 counts of child pornography by the state of Illinois. If convicted, he could face up 195 years in prison on the Chicago charges alone.

In September, he is set to face racketeering and sex crimes charges in New York.

Variety reports,  in addition to "The Aftermath" Lifetime is also working on “Surviving Jeffrey Epstein” on the multimillionaire businessman accused of sexually abusing and trafficking underage girls as young as 14 years old and collecting child pornography. He was previously convicted of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution in 2008 and served approximately one year in custody. Epstein ran in social circles with Donald Trump and former President Bill Clinton.
