Crown Heights was one of the Sundance Films that we were looking forward to, and now, the project is heading to theaters this fall.

Starring Lakeith Stanfield, Nnamdi Asomugha, Natalie Paul, Bill Camp, Nestor Carbonell and Amari CheatomCrown Heights is a dramatic piece that centers on a decades-long quest for justice. Stanfield plays Colin Warner, a black man arrested and tried for a crime he did not commit, which is a story all too familiar in our lives.

Crown Heights highlights a deeply broken system that ultimately fails to listens to the cries of the innocent. A winner of the Audience Award: U.S. Dramatic at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival, the film will be released to theaters on August 25 via Amazon Studios and IFC Films. Adapted from a segment from This American Life by writer / director Matt Ruskin, this film is certainly one to add to your queue.
