Killer Mike Proves He's The Revolutionary We Need In 5 Minutes Of Sheer Fury

It's election season, black boys and girls are still being slain by officers in American streets. There's talk of a revolution, but Killer Mike's not convinced we're ready for it. Time and time again, the Atlanta rapper has spoke truth to power as the world seemingly slips further and further off the path of equality and liberty for all. But his latest oration may be his most poignant and furious yet.

He joined several black leaders on a panel discussion at The All Black National Convention in his hometown, where the activist in him took his community to task for not preparing their children for the revolution they've demanded. He polls the crowd, asking how many of them have armed their kids with the muscle and mind needed to take on a system that's been preparing for precisely this war. Malcolm X is quoted, some patrons are angered, but Mike, he keeps with it, for five straight minutes of sheer unhinged fury. Now we know precisely where that "Driller Mike" tag came from. Watch it down below and see if you can keep yourself from welling up.
