As the days go on, Kendrick Lamar and Reebok‘s relationship seemingly grows stronger. Since the unveiling of the Compton rapper’s sneaker endorsement, we’ve seen him star in a number beautifully shot ad-spots promoting his reinvented Ventilators, two-toned to represent the unity between warring gang factions in hometown. Today, Reebok’s pulled the veil off their latest commercial for their unanimously-approved Classic, finding K Dot reciting some inspiring lines (well, as inspiring as a sneaker commercial can get, I suppose) in a spot directed by visionary Colin Tilley, the very man behind Kendrick’s insta-classic visual for “Alright.” You can watch King Kendrick Lamar get reflective in his new Reebok commercial down below. Read through his full monologue while you’re down there.
“From the very heart of me, belief becomes action and no distractions will take my eyes off the prize. Greatness is my goal, but there is failure on the way. Full of insecurity, self hate, and doubt. But what I can’t control can’t confine me. And what I can’t do can’t stop me. This is how I express myself, not how I follow others expectations but how I stay true.”
